The snow is really piling up outside and it's hard to imagine spring ever arriving...but it will.

That means spring open house is just around the corner !!

We've been busy making some new vintage can candles for the home, and might I add that they are very adorable. I wanted to take this time to let you all know how much I appreciate all of my customers, and that I strive to make the very best products that I can. I personally use everything that I make in my own home ,and if at anytime I feel a product is not up to par, I will either improve it or remove it. Just to bring you up to date, Springhouse Primitives will soon be open in their new location on the 2nd floor of the General Store in beautiful historic Zoar Village. We are pleased to be creating an exclusive line of candles just for them !! So be sure to check them out February 20th. We have also created a line of French country themed candles for Home Sweet Home ,located at 7385 Middlebranch Rd. NE in North Canton.

HSH is owned and operated by the mother & daughter team and dear friends Sharon and Suzan . They are currently open Fridays and Saturdays during the winter.**Those candles will be available at the shop in March.

Please stay warm and enjoy your families and homes, because all that other stuff is just "stuff".

Happy New Year !!

I sure hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and time spent among family & friends. I treasure every moment I can get with mine. As of now ,I am making my "To-Do" list of all the projects that I would like to get moving on soon.
With all of the snow we're getting here in North East Ohio, it seems as though a gal's gotta have something to do to pass the time away and keep that cabin fever at bay ! The 1st thing on my list is to finish that basket full of dolls residing in my attic. The poor dears have been stained & stuffed and then forgotten. It's so hard to stick to just one medium, when I love so many !! But I promise to go up there and fetch them from the wicker basket and give them all faces and hair ;0) Valentine's day will be here before you know it and I'm thinking of some romantic scents to pour, not to mention products for early spring. I've been away from my workshop for so long, I think I may have to dust-LOL It probably could use another EBay overhaul, I have a habit of buying supplies that I really didn't need in the 1st place, and some of it was just plain old useless. I'm looking forward to 2010 ,not only as a fresh start for us all but another year wiser......

Now that I can catch my breath a bit !

This is the last weekend for holiday open houses and I'm so happy to say that everyone has been doing well so far . I believe us crafter gals are all ready for a well deserved spa treatment and a glass or two of wine !
I will be ending my season at the annual "Valley Merry Christmas " @ Sandy Valley High School , Nov. 28th & 29th.
I'm already chomping at the bit to start planning my merchandise line for next year, mainly because I feel that I could be better prepared. It was a little, no-I take that back, it was quite hectic this year trying to keep up with all of my shows while keeping the shops filled with the stuff you folks are really wanting .
It's hard to be a one woman army, but I do it year after year because this is my passion and I could never do anything else for an income that is so fulfilling .
I have dug out all of my cherished issues of Country Living, dating back from the late 70's through the early 1980's. Those magazines have inspired me more times than I can count to create some of the wonderful things that I've made over the years, and now I believe that I need a breath of fresh air to create some more cool things for next year ...not to mention some great primitive Christmas ideas !
I really wished that Country Living would stop foolin' around and get back to their roots, they've completely lost what they were once known for these last few years.
Now they are more like Martha Stewart Living and I'm totally not into that ,how depressing :0(
I will let you all know that I plan to bring the paint cans back next year, I'm growing weary of all the glassware...but don't worry, I will still carry the 8, 12 and 16 oz jars I'm just trying to reorganize a bit.
Lots of ideas are running through my mind ,but I can't do it all now so stay tuned..........
